How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
Now its time for audience feedback-
Dan Coulston - The Digi-pack and the poster both work very fluently together creating this ' bohemian/independant' feel;. The use of colors clearly bridges the gap between the poster and digi-pack , I would defiantely make the link between the two, highlighting there effectivness. The video displays this bohemian feel through the use of images well, however not so much through the use of colours as the ancillary products did. However as a group I feel all three work well together.
Leah Beavis - I liked the earthy feel to the colours used in the Digi-pack, makes it astheically pleasing. I feel the colours complemented the track very well. I would say on the back cover of the Digi-pack the track name "colour" could be more pronounced. In regrads to the poster, yet agiain i feel the use of colours is effective, and i would say i would instantly make the link between the digi-pack and the poster. The video could use these colours more to keep total contiunity between the two, however on the whole i feel the products work well in unison.
So again as first stated,it is the consistency of the colors in the video that seems to be the shortfall. Perhaps i could of used lighting, even outside to try to bring forward some of the colors i lost due to the weather. However this may have been difficult. So to conclude; In terms of the emotional effect these products radiate, i feel that each of the products demonstrates the feeling of warmth and peacefulness that i had originally had intended. So in terms of an emotive link between the products, I feel it is strong as each product sends off this feeling therefore joining as one emotion, and one product. In terms of the general aesthetic, the products work well well on the basis of colors, lighting and pleasing images. However the products were limited in the continuity, for example font, and orangery yellows within the video. This was largely bypassed though by the emotive link given out by the use of colors and shades in the ancillary tasks, and by the story line and shots in the video.
