Video + feedback

George Attwill - When it came to conveying the narrative, perhaps it could have been cleary in parts, and time mangement towards the end. The opening two shots could have been a bit shorted and more concise. I like the graphic match has a feel good vibe about it whyich fits the song genre, and the links involving visulizers does give a physcadelic feel to the video.

Dan Coulston - Some shots were slightly shaky, nsome of the transitions didnb't work and felt a bit last minute but the flow of the video is incredible and some of the angles used seem to work very well in the shot, the parts that were lipsynched were done very well and captured the flow of the song very well.

Costumes. Car . and general things.

Characters

Main person             - Josh Savage
Bassist                      - Ceejay Broadhead
Hippie 1                   - Dan Coulston
Hippie 2                   - Dylan Elwell
Quirky Dude            - Kieran Bellows
Resident White guy - Sam Chamberlain

All these actors are good friends of mine, who I have known for years. All of them being by far the best people for the job in terms of their persona's , however their acting abilities were, well to say the least........... average, but I aint saying I was any better.

Costumes

Keeping in contnuity across my whole video. Costumes were going to have to be representive of the bohmian feel. Luckily most of my friends are all "laidback/non caring" types which meant that they all aready had clothes that would be suitable.

For my costume, I wanted to incorprate that feel. I decided to go for baggy trousers, with low level patterns on them.

A lazy blue 'anything' style jumper. Giving the impression of waking up in the morning and sticking on any old clothes without regard for looks.

I had also the idea of a headband, this was mainly just to keep my hair out of my eyes in the wind. That in itself is a statement, reflecting long lazy hair with no particular style. ( uncontrolable). However i did lose this headband an so some shots are missing the headband.

Skateboard

Having a Skateboard in my video was vital for adding to the mise-en-scene of the video. The conatations of which being generally rebellious from society, part of the counter culture. So i made sure to add a skateboard into my video to help bring this conatations across. The skateboard itself is a re-issue of 1970's board, given retro and old school conantations. It also made a useful tool for linking the two groups of people togother.

Guitar

The guitar in my video, although an essential part of the performance also gave me a further area in which conantaions can be drawn. The conantations being; someone in touch with soemthing greater alowing a higher field of expression.

Car

The first car in the video honestly did not fit with conventions atall. This was because it was my Mums car which is a bit to new and white to be bohemian. But i had no other choice as I have nothing of my own to use, so that had to do. The second car, a 1980's VW Polo, with a mini saloon style body. Was the most perfect car I could have ever dreamed of. This was my friends car, Ceejay Broadhead ( the bassist) . The car gives off a certain vibe that was perfect for my video, I mean it's just so perfect. the best way is just to have a look at it ...;.....mmmhh.

Places in which to film

A short post of a couple of places I would like to film.

This location is where I plan to have the breakdown scene. The sun is alingned with the road, shining down the road from the right of this shot.

This place is where I plan to have the Friends/band all meet up.

This shot, I plan to have the main character walking down that road./ The sun is at the top the road on a good day, and so will make a good location for obtaining sun glare shots.,
